School districts in and around Louisville are expected to announce plans for Friday as another round of snow showers approach Kentucky, just days after Winter Storm Blair brought snow and ice accumulations to the commonwealth.
Students in some school districts in the area, including Jefferson County Public Schools, have enjoyed a prolonged winter break due to the inclement weather. Some students resumed classwork remotely this week.

JCPS officials have not announced plans for Friday, but a decision is expected to come by Thursday evening, the district said in a statement.
“We will evaluate road and sidewalk conditions, campus conditions, temperatures, and the potential of additional snow in the area,” a statement read Wednesday.
