Man accused of killing his sister inside home in Rock Hill, detectives say

A man accused of killing his sister last year has been extradited to Rock Hill.

Channel 9 spoke with neighbors who said they want justice for the victim.

In court on Friday, Rock Hill detectives explained how 53-year-old Lisa Rosenzweig was killed inside her home on Cauthen Street on November 7.

Rosenzweig’s body was found two days later after her daughter requested a welfare check.

At the time of the incident, Rosenzweig had opened her home to her brother Anthony Lopez.

“Lisa Rosenzweig came home, and her brother, seated here today, was waiting for her when she arrived home,” said Detective Robert Smith. “A place where she allowed him to stay, to get him off the street, he brutally murdered her.”

According to the investigation, Rosenzweig was hit with an object, resulting in her death.

Eric Rollins, who lives along Cauthen Street, still recalled the massive crime scene.

“I came home from work that evening, and the streets just lined up. Police, coroners, chaos late into the evening … into the morning,” Rollins explained.

Rollins said he was just trying to wrap his head around why Lopez would want to harm his sister.

“Your own sibling that close to you, that’s hard to understand,” Rollins expressed. “I hope he gets what he deserves.”

As of Friday night, Lopez was still in jail. He is expected to be back in court in March.
