Dec. 9—An Odessa man was arrested late last month after his wife accused him of threatening to kill her during an attack.
According to an Odessa Police Department report released Monday, officers were dispatched to the 9100 block of Andrews Highway Nov. 30 for a disturbance.
When officers arrived, they found a woman with a busted lip, scratches to her face and an injured neck, the report stated.
The woman said her husband, Abelardo Avila, got upset because he was jealous, got on top of her and choked and scratched her, the report stated. She said he hit her in the face and stepped on her face before grabbing a knife and threatening to kill her with it in front of their son.
