A semi-retired businessman who is accused of attempted murder after he allegedly spiked his wife’s tea with pesticide is facing another charge after he allegedly breached an apprehended violence order.
Police allege Stephan Wagner, 61, poisoned his wife Glenda Wagner, 66, by putting rat poison in her tea, causing her to become seriously ill.
Mr Wagner, from St Andrews in Sydney’s southwest, was not required to appear in Campbelltown Local Court on Wednesday when his matter was adjourned for two weeks.
The court was told Mr Wagner is expected to enter a plea at his next court date in February.
However, court documents state Mr Wagner is now facing an additional charge for allegedly breaching an AVO.

A restriction specified in the order was allegedly breached in late October, just weeks after he was arrested.
Police believe the alleged poisonings occurred between December 2022 and September 2024 at the couple’s St Andrews home.
Mr Wagner will remain in custody on remand, with an AVO taken out by police for his wife’s protection.
He is ordered to stay at least a kilometre away from where she works and lives.
On his LinkedIn profile, Mr Wagner describes himself as a semi-retired businessman who worked at the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science until March 2023.
Mr Wagner will next appear in court on February 5.
