Man arrested after ramming police cars, parked cars trying to escape in Seattle

Police arrested a 31-year-old man after he rammed more than half a dozen cars as he tried to escape in Seattle.

Around 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Seattle police answered calls of a possible unconscious man in a car near the intersection of Sand Point Way Northeast and Northeast 70th Street.

Callers told police that the man in an Audi A6 was slumped forward in the car for at least 35 minutes.

Once officers arrived, they used their patrol cars to block the car for safety and prevent him from running.

Police said they used their loudspeakers, sirens and even knocked on the car window to get the driver’s attention.

Once the driver woke up, he started the car and began to drive away.

Police said the man used his car to ram and push cars out of the way.

In the process, the man hit three patrol cars and four parked cars before the Audi was disabled.

There were no officers or persons in the cars that were hit.

Police arrested the man after trying to get the man to give up for 30 minutes.

The man was taken to jail for suspicion of felony malicious mischief.

Police found suspected meth and a meth pipe.
