A man is dead after a shooting in Dorchester on Monday night.
According to police, officers responded to 114 Devon Street just before 10:30 p.m. for a reported shooting.
Upon arrival, officers found an adult male at 110 Devon Street suffering from a gunshot wound. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police blocked off a large area so they could investigate and gather evidence.
Despite last night’s shooting, the city is seeing a downward trend compared to 2023—where there have been ten fewer shooting victims this year compared to the same time frame last year.
The Boston Police Homicide Unit is investigating the shooting.
