Dec. 23—ROCK CREEK — Dozens of people visited Triandria Masonic Lodge #780 Saturday afternoon to install officers and greet Ohio Grand Master William M. Carter III.
There were few seats available during the installation of 14 officers.
The Grand Master visit is important for a local lodge, Lodge Senior Warden Hendrik A. Wolfert II said.
“We are honored to host the Grand Master of Ohio, Most Worshipful Brother William M. Carter III,” he said. “His visit is a significant occasion for our lodge and the Masonic community in Ohio.”
The Good Life Singers performed to kick things off, followed by a lunch and then installation of officers.
Roy D. Trembly was installed as the lodge Worshipful Master. Carter provided the installation and reminders of the importance of his leadership and to adhere to all masonic principles.
The other officers were Hendrik A. Wolfert II, senior warden; Billly J. Brown, junior warden; Ronald L. Ensell, treasurer; William E. Robinson, secretary; Linc O. Jerome, chaplain; Timothy C. Heath, senior deacon; John O Dietrich, junior deacon; Daniel L. Koziol, senior steward; Charles E. Stevens III, junior steward; Donald O. Dietrich, tyler; Edward Spaid II, trustee, Billy Joe Brown, lodge education officer and Dennis A. Spaid, marshal.
The lodge is hosting an open house and recruitment event for their youth leadership organization Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the lodge, located at 3059 Lawton Ave. in Rock Creek. “Young men aged 12 to 20 are welcome to attend,” Jerome said.
The group, named Demolay, began in 1919 and has a rich history in Ashtabula County.
