More than two dozen people staying at Columbus-area hotels woke up Sunday to find their vehicle windows smashed in and belongings strewn about their car.

Officers with the Columbus Division of Police responded to dozens of calls reporting vehicle break-ins on the city’s north and northeast sides, CBS affiliate WBNS reported.

The first call was made to police just after 6:30 a.m. Sunday at the Courtyard by Marriott hotel near the John Glenn Columbus International Airport.
At least six hotel parking lots were targeted in the break-ins.
The following hotels experienced break-ins, according to WBNS:

Dispatchers told WBNS that the suspects may be in a stolen vehicle but no further information was provided.
