Motorcycle driver dies of injuries sustained in Salisbury crash

A Salisbury motorcycle driver has died of injuries sustained in a Monday night crash. Here’s what we know now.

37-year-old Salisbury man dies in motorcycle crash

On Monday, Dec. 9, 2024, at about 8 a.m., officers of the Salisbury Police Department responded to the area of Priscilla and Harrington sreets to investigate a report of a motor vehicle collision. Upon arrival, officers observed a SUV and a motorcycle that had been in an apparent collision. Salisbury EMS was already on scene rendering aid to those involved in the accident.

The initial investigation by members of the Salisbury Police Department revealed that 37-year-old Shaun Barlow was operating a 2001 Kawasaki ZX-6R motorcycle traveling eastbound on Priscilla Street as a 2005 Ford Explorer was traveling westbound on Priscilla Street. The two vehicles apparently collided as the Explorer tried to turn onto northbound Harrington Street.

Barlow was pronounced dead at the scene by members of Salisbury EMS due to injuries sustained in the collision. The driver and passenger of the Explorer did not report any injuries at the time of the initial investigation.
