MUNCIE, Ind. — A Muncie man has been accused of twice selling cocaine to an informant for the Muncie-Delaware County Drug Task Force.
Rodolfo Reyes Polito, 37, was arrested when members of the Delaware County Sheriff’s Department’s SWAT team served a search warrant at his home, in the 600 block of West Main Street, on Thursday.
He continued to be held in the Delaware County Jail on Monday under a $60,000 bond, preliminarily charged with two counts of dealing in cocaine along with possession of cocaine and maintaining a common nuisance.
According to an affidavit, Polito sold the drug to the informant at his home on Jan. 3 and Jan. 6.
When searching his home during last week’s raid, officers reportedly recovered plastic bags containing what was believed to be cocaine, along with a safe and, in the Muncie man’s wallet, cash used in the earlier drug transactions.
The Delaware County prosecutor’s office will determine whether formal charges will be filed.
Court records showed no prior charges or convictions for Polito.
