Nashville area school closures: These Middle Tennessee schools are closed Friday due to winter storm

Many students across Middle Tennessee will experience a three-day weekend, as the entire region is set to be impacted by a significant snow event on Friday.

On Thursday, the National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning which is expected to cause hazardous travel conditions throughout the region Friday through Friday night. The warning is in effect from 3 a.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday.

The majority of the Middle Tennessee area is set to receive between three to six inches of snow on Friday, although some areas could see as much as seven inches.

Here are the schools that will be closed on Friday.

Middle Tennessee school closings

  • Clarksville, Montgomery County Schools: Closed, all after-school activities, athletics, and practices are canceled.

  • Lebanon Special School District: Closed, all Friday and Saturday activities are canceled.

  • Dickson County Schools: Closed

  • Coffee County Schools: Closed
