Nashville Police are investigating a possible drug motive in a shooting that left one man dead and another injured at an Antioch apartment complex.
A 23-year-old man, who has not yet been identified, died at Southern Hills Medical Center Tuesday night, police said in a statement Wednesday morning.
Police believe the 23-year-old and a 24-year-old man were at the 300 Hickory Apartments on Hickory Hollow Place before 10 p.m. when their car was targeted in a shooting.
“The 24-year-old, who was wounded, drove to the 1600 block of Antioch Pike, where he flagged down citizens coming out of a business and asked for transportation to Southern Hills Medical Center,” police said in the statement.
The 23-year-old victim died shortly after arriving to the hospital. The other man is in stable condition and investigators will speak with him “as his medical treatment allows,” police said.
Investigators are encouraging anyone with information about the shooting to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
