Nearly a month later, police still search for suspects, motive in Towson mass shooting

Baltimore County Police are still investigating the December mass shooting in Towson that killed one person and injured nine others. Police say they continue to gather evidence, but as of Saturday, no arrests have been made.

The incident could be tied to other crimes, according to Baltimore County Police, and officials have not ruled out some form of retaliation as a motive for the shooting.

“The Baltimore County Police Department’s Homicide Unit Detectives are continuing to investigate leads in the shooting that occurred on Tuesday, Dec. 17,” Baltimore County Police spokesperson Jasmine Fleet said. “They are also following up on potential connections between the circumstances surrounding this crime and that of other crimes in the region.”

In mid-December, one person was killed and nine others were injured in a minivan when the suspect opened fire near the 8500 block of Loch Raven Boulevard. The van crashed into the side of a funeral home and caught fire while on its side, officials said at the time.

Police identified the man who died as Charles Graham Jr., of Baltimore. Those injured are between 14 and 27 years old, and eight of them suffered gunshot wounds.

Police believe it was a targeted attack and are still searching for the perpetrators who committed the crime. They are asking residents to help with any leads and said officials plan to gather more information from the surviving victims once they recover from their injuries.

“Through information shared by the community, detectives have been able to gather additional evidence,” Fleet said. “At this time, detectives are also attempting to obtain additional information from victims who continue to recover.”

Detectives ask anyone with information about this mass shooting to contact the Baltimore County Police Department at 410-887-4636. Information provided through Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland could be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
