The man drove from Springfield to Trotwood and then into Dayton trying to find his stolen car.
Police say the Springfield man received information on social media that his car was at a Trotwood address.
The man followed the car that left the Trotwood address, and eventually shot another man in the eastbound lanes of US-35 near Liscum Drive.
“A car or money are never worth a person’s life,” Dayton Police Department Major Brian Johns said.
