NOAA’s new 2025 late winter forecast is here. Maps show what to expect in Ohio

Will Ohio see a white Christmas next week? Or will it be a warmer winter as we head toward spring?

After giving a look at the winter weather forecast for January, February and March, The National Ocean and Atmospheric Administration just released its three-month outlook for February, March, and April.

What’s the NOAA late winter forecast for Ohio?

According to NOAA, much Ohio will likely see above-normal temperatures from February to April.

The western portion of the state, including Cincinnati, Dayton and Toledo, is predicted to experience normal temperatures. The rest of the state, including Akron, Canton, Cleveland and Columbus, has a 33-40% chance of seeing higher than normal temperatures in late winter and early spring.

As for precipitation, Ohio is forecast to experience above-normal precipitation. NOAA forecasts all of Ohio to have higher chances of precipitation at 40–50% above average for February, March and April.
