RICHMOND, Ind. — A northern Indiana man has been charged in connection with at least one overdose death in Wayne County.
Kain J. Grose, 30 — listed at an address in Garrett in DeKalb County — was charged Dec. 11 in Wayne Circuit Court with two counts of dealing in a controlled substance resulting in death, a Level 1 felony carrying up to 40 years in prison.
Details of the allegations against Grose, who court documents indicate is a former Hagerstown resident, were not available on Thursday.
The charging documents and a probable cause affidavit that likely has details of the allegations are sealed, unavailable for public review.
An online case summary does not appear to reflect that a request was made to seal the court documents, or that a judge took related action.

The summary indicates the charges stem from events that took place on May 31.
The summary also indicates that Grose posted bond, apparently on Wednesday, and that an initial hearing in the case is set for Friday.
A warrant had earlier been issued for his arrest, setting his bond at $50,000.
The case was at first filed in Wayne Superior Court 2 and was transferred this week to Wayne Circuit Court.
Grose was convicted of driving while intoxicated in Wayne Superior Court 3 in April 2020.
