Officials ID teen who was among 4 killed in separate weekend shooting

The Hamilton County Coroner’s Office has released the identity of a teen killed in a shooting in Elmwood Place late Friday, one of three victims fatally shot over the weekend.

Anthony Boyd, 17, died at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center after police found him while responding to a shooting near the intersection of Highland Avenue and Oak Street, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.

Officials have not announced any arrests nor released information about a possible suspect.

Darius Letcher, 28, and 20-year-old Lanyah Dawson were also killed in separate shootings in Hamilton County over the weekend. Both of those deaths are being investigated by the Cincinnati Police Department’s homicide unit.

Letcher was found shot behind a vacant apartment building in Avondale on Sunday morning and pronounced dead at the scene, officials said. Police found Dawson on Trail Ridge Road in Mount Airy Forest early Saturday with a gunshot wound and she was also pronounced dead at the scene.

A man was also killed during a home invasion in West Chester Township on Sunday, according to the township.

Authorities did not identify the homeowner or the invasion suspect in the release.

Detectives with the West Chester Police Department are investigating the shooting.
