Oklahoman woman files lawsuit against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, alleging assault at NYC party

An Oklahoma woman has filed a lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs and several other defendants, alleging she was drugged and sexually assaulted at a party she attended after winning a local radio station contest.

The lawsuit filed in New York federal court by LaTroya Grayson claims that she and her half-sibling won an all-expenses-paid trip to attend one of Comb’s New York City parties in 2006. Grayson alleges that she woke up the next morning in the hospital without any memory of what happened.

Combs has been inside a Brooklyn jail for months as he faces a sex crimes trial in May. The federal indictment lays out charges against Combs of racketeering, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution. He’s also been named as a defendant in over two dozen civil lawsuits from alleged victims, including minors, who claim he raped, drugged and assaulted them in incidents that date back to the ’90s.

Oklahoma woman claims she woke up in hospital room

According to her recollection of events, Grayson had two premade drinks that were distributed by waitresses to guests of the party. She reported feeling sick and tried to go to the restroom, but that was the last thing she remembered.

“When (Grayson) regained consciousness at the hospital she noticed her shirt was ripped, her underwear was missing, she was not wearing any shoes and the money she had traveled with was stolen,” the lawsuit states. “The only money (Grayson) had remaining was a twenty-dollar bill.”

The filing includes images of correspondence from Combs’ record company, airline boarding passes, hotel receipts and records of her hospital stay.

Grayson said that once she arrived back in Oklahoma, she received a call from an unknown woman with a New York area code. The woman allegedly threatened Grayson, telling her that “any attempts to pursue anything about assault would be futile” because Combs was a celebrity and that doing so would be a waste of time, the lawsuit states.

For a week after the party, Grayson said she felt constant pain she believed to have been caused by rough intercourse, although she had no memory of being with anyone.

“(Grayson) did not seek medical treatment or otherwise report her assault to law enforcement because she was scared and confused. First, because she did not know exactly what happened to her. Second, because of the threats she received from the anonymous female caller of (Combs’) involvement and it being a waste of time due to his celebrity status,” the lawsuit states.

Combs lawsuit claims RICO violations

Along with naming Combs as a defendant, Grayson’s lawsuit is also asking the federal court to include his label Bad Boy Entertainment Holdings, Atlantic Records and one of its employees, Delta Airlines, Roger Smith Hotel, several unidentified people and the Tulsa radio station 105.3 KJAMZ FM as participants in a racketeering enterprise involving mail and wire fraud, negligence and violation of New York City’s law against gender-motivated violence.

The lawsuit was filed on Dec. 20. Grayson previously told her story to The Mirror in November.

In a statement shared with USA TODAY, Combs’ attorneys rebuffed the claims.

“Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone or engaged in sex trafficking. Ms. Grayson admits she has no memory of the events alleged in her complaint, does not know who was supposedly involved, and has never spoken to Mr. Combs,” the attorney said. “Her allegations against him are pure fiction. As we’ve said before, Mr. Combs cannot respond to every baseless lawsuit and lawyer-driven money grab. He has faith in the judicial process, in which fact will be separated from opportunistic fabrications like these.”
