Dec. 10—The Platte County, Missouri, Sheriff’s Office brought comfort and joy to area children this past Saturday.
The Platte County Sheriff’s Office shared through social media that last Saturday, Dec. 7, they held their 30th Annual “Shop with a Deputy” event and were able to help 46 children in need.
The Sheriff’s Office had asked the community for donations to go toward the annual event and on Saturday they were able to give each child $275.
“Over the past 30 years, we’ve been able to help upwards of 1,152 children have a Christmas they wouldn’t have been able to have without your kindness and generosity,” The Platte County Sheriff’s Office said. “If you or your business would like to make a charitable donation to the 2025 Shop with a Deputy, please contact us either by phone or mail.”
The Sheriff’s Office added, “Thank you to all who have donated their time and finances to Shop with a Deputy. Your kindness is greatly appreciated.”
