Police are asking the public for help regarding an attempted kidnapping in central Lubbock from November.
According to a statement from Lubbock police on Tuesday, officers responded about 7 p.m. Nov. 19 to a report of an attempted kidnapping in a business parking lot in the 3000 block of Slide Road.
Police believe a woman arrived at the business and parked her vehicle in the parking lot. After entering and exiting the business, she returned to her vehicle and, as she was entering it, an unknown male wearing a black hoodie and a face mask pulled her from the driver’s seat of her vehicle.
The woman and suspect struggled for a short time before he and a second male drove away. The two fled north on Slide Road in a vehicle described as a white Nissan Altima with no license plate.
According to police, the first suspect is described as a black male in his 20s with a medium build, approximately 5’8” to 5’10”, wearing a black zip-up hoodie and face mask. The second suspect is described as a black male, with no further no description.
Police say there is no threat to public safety at this time, as the incident appears to be isolated, with no evidence to indicate that it is part of a pattern.
