Police are investigating after a man was found dead at Chambersburg’s Southgate Mall on Wednesday evening.
Officers responded to the area at about 6:44 p.m. for a reported shooting, according to Chambersburg Police. The deceased person was located roughly in front of Family Dollar.
Witnesses said there had been a fight and shots were fired.
This was a targeted act of violence and the public is not at risk, police said.

Police are looking for information about the incident. Surveillance video captured a light-colored van at the scene and police say the driver is a person of interest wanted for questioning.
