LA GRANDE — Police arrested a La Grande woman Friday, Dec. 6, in connection with an early morning armed robbery.
Police took Gloryanna Gulzow, 32, of La Grande, into custody for first-degree burglary, felon in possession of weapon, menacing, pointing a firearm at another, first-degree robbery and second-degree theft, according to a press release from the La Grande Police Department.
Law enforcement initially responded to the 700 block of F Avenue shortly before 5:30 a.m. after receiving a report of an armed robbery, Lt. Jason Hays said. Gulzow reportedly entered the home while brandishing a handgun and demanded money. She stole around $140 in cash before fleeing the home.
Police collected evidence and reviewed home security footage, according to Hays. Investigators worked to identify the suspect, who was described as wearing dark clothing and using a bandana to cover her face.
Hays said officers attested Gulzow around 9:30 a.m. after a resident reported someone was crying and hiding in their backyard on F Avenue. Officers responded to the backyard, which was near the robbery location, and found Gulzow hiding under a wood pile.
Gulzow cooperated during the arrest, according to police, and officers are booking her into the Union County Jail.
