Jan. 9—A man was hospitalized Monday morning after a single-vehicle crash in Jackson Township.
Jesse McNabb, 31, of Warsaw, was traveling south on C.R. 25 south of C.R. 46 when his 2022 Nissan Altima veered off the road and into a sloped yard at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, striking a fence, tree, a hill, rock and mailbox.
McNabb was transported to the hospital for a loss of consciousness and possible head injuries.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY
A 25-year-old man reported to Elkhart County deputies at 3:11 p.m. Wednesday that someone attempted to make entry to his apartment in the 1700 block of College Manor Drive in the early morning hours of Dec. 31.
THEFT
—A 34-year-old man reported to Goshen police at 11:31 a.m. Wednesday that someone stole his headphones while inside Kroger, 209 Chicago Ave.
—Lippert Components, 22244 Innovation Drive, reported to Elkhart County deputies at 8:20 p.m. Tuesday someone stole around $5,000 worth of property.
—A 41-year-old man reported to Elkhart County deputies that between 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and 4 p.m. Wednesday his Wraithworks AR-15 style rifle was stolen from his vehicle in the 24000 block of C.R. 6, Elkhart.
ARRESTS
—A 30-year-old man was arrested and jailed by Elkhart County deputies at 4:17 p.m. Wednesday on a charge of possession of a controlled substance following a welfare check in the 500 block of South Seventh Street.
—A 34-year-old man was arrested and jailed by Elkhart County deputies at 8:32 p.m. Wednesday on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and possession of marijuana after a reckless driver was reported in the 2000 block of Lincolnway East.
BURGLARY
An 87-year-old man reported to Elkhart County deputies at 2:46 p.m. Wednesday that someone forced entry into his rental property in the 72000 block of C.R. 123 in New Paris and stole a desk drawer and loose change.
