A structure fire that started Wednesday morning near Herbert Street in Port Orange has been put out, according to the city’s Fire and Rescue Department.
“There are no reports of any injuries at this time,” but crews are continuing to work the scene and are asking the public to avoid the area, according to an update on the department’s Facebook page.
Photos shared by Port Orange Fire and Rescue on social media show crews fighting flames in a structure near the 500th block of Herbert Street, just west of the train tracks.

According to city spokesman Mike Springer, the fire affected a commercial structure. The area houses several businesses and commercial buildings.
