Want to thank your Amazon delivery driver during the holiday season? Customers can show appreciation through a holiday promotion that allows them to tip their driver at no cost to them.
The Thank My Driver feature allows Amazon customers to show thanks to the driver who completed their most recent delivery. The feature, first introduced in 2022, has seen Amazon customers thank their drivers 40 million times, said Amazon.
How much drivers get paid
For the first 2 million thank-yous this holiday season, drivers receive $5 at no cost to the customer, according to the online retailer. This promotion started Dec. 4.
How to thank to your delivery driver
When a customer tells an Alexa-enabled device to “thank my driver” or searches “thank my driver” on the Amazon web or mobile app, their most recent driver will receive the courtesy tip, according to Amazon.
Delivery drivers can be thanked once per delivery. U.S. delivery drivers and Amazon flex delivery partners are eligible for the thank-you program.
After the 2 million threshold is met, drivers will no longer receive financial recognition, but they will continue to see notes of appreciation from customers.
