Dave Mattes, team leader of the Dave Mattes Team of RE/MAX of Reading, has been given the Realtor of the Year Award by the Reading-Berks Association of Realtors.
The Realtor of the Year award recognizes the best in the Realtor spirit, through business accomplishments, commitment and involvement with R-BAR, along with participation in civic and community affairs.
According to a press release, Mattes has demonstrated the qualities of leadership, honesty and integrity in everything he does, along with showing outstanding loyalty to R-BAR through attendance at meetings, service on committees or at other events.
“We awarded this honor to Dave this year because he does all of this and more,” the release said. “He is very involved in the Association, both at the local and state level.”
For R-BAR, he is part of the DEI Committee and the Government Affairs Committee, and participates in many outreach activities through his donations and generosity.
He serves as a director for the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors and as part of PAR’s Strategic Planning Task Force and Independent Expenditures Committee.
He served as the R-BAR spokesperson for Imagine Berks and serves on the Berks County Planning Commission, where he advocates for the real estate industry.
According to the release, Mattes also is a past president for R-BAR and does many other things for the community.
“He truly is someone who is always willing to help and lend his expertise, time and resources to help others and makes a tremendous impact on the industry and our community,” the release said..
