After a rainy, warm start to the week, Columbus will have a chance to see some snow.
Monday morning started off rainy and foggy. A high near 55 degrees is forecast for the afternoon, and a chance for showers and drizzle will continue throughout the day, according to the NWS.
Meteorologists with the National Weather Service say the patch of steady rain will move out of the Columbus area Monday morning, but more precipitation will return early Wednesday in the form of snow.

Columbus weather forecast for the week of Dec. 9
Monday night: Patchy drizzle before 8 p.m., and cloudy skies with a low around 44.
Tuesday: Foggy conditions before 11 a.m., then showers likely, with a 60% chance of rain mainly after 1 p.m. Cloudy, with a high near 49 and calm wind. At night, skies will remain cloudy with a low around 32 and a 40% chance of precipitation. Rain could turn to snow after 5 a.m., but little or no snow accumulation is expected.
Wednesday: A chance of rain and snow before 10am, then a 50% chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 36. West wind 8 to 15 mph. Less than half an inch of snow could accumulate on the ground. Wednesday night will be mostly cloudy with a low near 17 and a 40% chance of snow.
Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 24. Thursday night will be mostly clear, with a low around 13.
Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 35. Nighttime will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 26.
Saturday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 44 and a 40% chance of rain.
Saturday Night: A chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 34. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
Sunday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 45.
