Dec. 9—A 31-year-old Rochester man is accused of leading state troopers on a high-speed chase that ended in a Seabrook crash late Sunday night, New Hampshire State Police.
Jordan Metherall was arrested after troopers clocked him traveling at more than 100 mph on Interstate 95 around 10:30 p.m., police said. Metherall exited the highway and crashed into an SUV at the intersection of Routes 1 and 107. A female passenger in his car suffered serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
Massachusetts State Police pursued Metherall’s 2020 Hyundai Accent on I-95 to the border. New Hampshire troopers followed Metherall off Exit 1 in Seabrook, where he led them down several secondary roads before crashing into a 2012 Buick LaCrosse.
After the impact, Metherall left the car and tried to flee, police said. Troopers and officers from Seabrook took him into custody.
The driver of the Buick was uninjured.
Metherall was charged with reckless conduct, disobeying an officer and conduct after an accident. He was held in preventative detention before his scheduled arraignment in Hampton District Court on Monday.
Part of Route 107 was closed for approximately 90 minutes.
