A second body has been found in bushland during the search for a man whose wife’s decomposing body was found wrapped in plastic nearby.
A runner spotted 33-year-old Zhuojun “Sally” Li’s plastic-shrouded remains in bushes at 7am on December 9 at Sir Joseph Banks Park, not far from Sydney Airport.
She had been reported missing early in December after her mother was unable to contact her, investigators said.
Police also held grave concerns for the welfare of her husband Jai-Bao “Rex” Chen, also 33, and were scouring the area of the initial grisly find when they located a second body about 2pm on Tuesday.
The body is yet to be formally identified.

A silver Toyota Avensis had been seized in Sydney and was being forensically tested as part of an investigation into the suspected murder, Homicide Squad commander Danny Doherty previously revealed.
CCTV captured the vehicle stopping on the northern side of Foreshore Rd in Botany, near the park, between 4am and 5am on November 30.
Police believe the car was used to transport Ms Li’s body.
Investigators appealed for anyone to come forward with dashcam footage or information about the car or its drivers, including from trucks and tradespeople who might have driven past at the time.
Ms Li moved from China to Australia more than 20 years ago and had been living with Mr Chen, who is from Taiwan, in a rented apartment in Greenacre.
Strike Force Zygon has been established to investigate, with detectives making inquiries across Australia.
“We’ve spoken to his family and he’s certainly not over there (in Taiwan) and, at this stage, we believe he’s in Australia but whether he’s alive or dead, that’s the question,” Detective Superintendent Doherty said previously.
“We’re looking at associations and friends of both Sally and Rex who may want to harm Sally and who may be in a position to transport a body to Botany and then also to cover up the actual body at the crime scene.”
Police have been in contact with Mr Chen’s family in Taiwan.
There was no history of domestic violence between the pair and police were actively considering the possibility a third party was involved.
