Through a Sangamon County spokesperson, Sheriff Paula Crouch said that Smith was in a blue Dodge Charger with a 23-year-old unidentified female, who had non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Crouch said Smith was in the driver’s seat while the woman was in the passenger’s seat.

Smith arrived at St. John’s in the Charger.

Detectives from the sheriff’s investigations division processing the scene and talking to witnesses determined over 50 shots were fired. They believe a dark, four-door sedan, last seen driving east on Carpenter Street, was involved in the shooting.
