A Northern Kentucky pawn shop was the latest victim of a smash-and-grab-style burglary in which a group used a car to crash through the storefront and steal firearms, according to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.
The burglary happened early Thursday morning at Goodies Pawn in Hebron when a stolen Hyundai Elantra breached the pawn shop’s front doors, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.
Video from inside the business showed two suspects enter the building and steal multiple guns from a display case before they fled the scene in another vehicle parked outside.
Investigators said there were at least five suspects involved, including the two who entered the shop, two more who stood lookout outside and another driving the getaway vehicle.

The sheriff’s office said the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is assisting with the investigation and anyone with information about the burglary is urged to call investigators at 859-334-8487.
Last year, the ATF warned of dozens of firearms left unaccounted for after a string of similar burglaries at gun stores in Northern Kentucky and Southwest Ohio. Many of the suspects arrested in those burglaries were juveniles ages 13 to 16.
Officials haven’t offered any information about arrests or possible suspects in the most recent burglary. In a video of the incident, the perpetrators’ faces were largely concealed by hoods.
