Sioux Falls Police arrest man after weekend stabbing leaves one dead

Authorities with the Sioux Falls Police Department say a man was killed Saturday morning following a domestic dispute.

Lt. Aaron Nyberg told media Monday morning that officers were dispatched at 6:28 a.m. Saturday to an address near the 2500 block of North Aidan Avenue for a report of an assault.

When they arrived, they found 39-year-old Sioux Falls resident Alonzo Little, who had been stabbed and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police found Juan Flores, 30, in Little’s vehicle and arrested him on charges of first-degree murder, second-degree murder, first-degree manslaughter, first-degree burglary and first-degree robbery.

Nyberg said the two men knew each other and were in a relationship, and that a dispute appeared to have escalated.
