Snow chances likely in San Angelo this week, according to National Weather Service

Snow is becoming more likely for San Angelo this week, according to the National Weather Service.

Last Thursday, the NWS was not expecting snow in the forecast during the cold front that began Monday.

“Recent model trends are leading to higher confidence in the potential for accumulating snowfall across West Central Texas Wednesday evening into Friday morning,” according to a Facebook post from NWS.

Early Monday morning, the NWS was more comfortable making a prediction for snow over the weekend, accord to the post.

“Virtually everything is showing wintry precipitation now and it looks more likely to see some snow accumulations in San Angelo. As for roads, that’s always more complicated this far in advance, but road problems in San Angelo are looking like they could be more of a problem,” the NWS stated on Facebook.
