Massachusetts could see several inches of snow this weekend from a weather system passing over the region on Sunday night, according to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service’s Boston office.
NWS meteorologists wrote in Friday morning’s forecast that there is “increasing confidence in an accumulating/plowable snow event later (Sunday) and especially (Sunday) night across the region.”
There is still some uncertainty about total snowfall amounts because the system is more than 48 hours out, a NWS meteorologist said Friday. The snow is expected to stop by Monday morning.
