Dec. 27—An Odessa man was arrested on a robbery charge Sunday morning after his father accused him of punching him in the face and stealing from him.
According to an Ector County Sheriff’s Office report, dispatchers received a 9-1-1 hangup call from the 3400 block of West 42nd Street around 7:30 a.m. Sunday and when deputies arrived James Allen McDuffee, 39, told them he wanted to go to the hospital and deputies left.
A short time later, deputies were asked to come back by McDuffee’s father, 62, who was bleeding from the face, the report stated. He told deputies his son assaulted him while they were in their RV on West 42nd Street and stole his cell phone, wallet and around $100 in cash.
According to the report, deputies found the items in McDuffee’s possession while he was in the ambulance.
He was booked into the Ector County jail on a $50,000 surety bond.
