Accumulations will remain on the lighter side—the affected areas can expect anywhere from a trace of snow to about 3 cm. Communities near Lake Huron could have to sweep away as much as 5 cm of snow where more persistent snow is expected.

Looking beyond Thursday’s snow showers, forecasters are monitoring a powerful cold front this weekend that’ll bring the season’s coldest air to the region—along with a risk for renewed lake-effect snow.
