Jan. 8—Timothy E. Brown who has been in the area news for the last nine months was sentenced in the Buchanan County Courthouse Division 5 circuit courtroom on Tuesday, Jan. 7.
Brown had been found guilty of Statutory Sodomy or Attempted Statutory Sodomy — Deviate Sexual Intercourse — Person Than 14-years-old, Enticement or Attempted Enticement of a Child (Actor 21-years-old or older and child less than 15-years-old, Third Degree Child Molestation of a Child Less Than 14-years-old, Sexual Misconduct Involving a Child Under 15-years-old (First Offense) during a trial on Nov. 20, 2024.
On Tuesday, Jan. 7, Buchanan County Division 5 circuit court Judge Daniel F. Kellogg sentenced Brown to 50 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections for the Statutory Sodomy charge, 10 years for the Enticement charge, 10 years for the Third Degree Child Molestation charge, and four years for the Sexual Misconduct charge.
In total Brown was sentenced to 74 years in prison with the Missouri Department of Corrections.
A travel order for Brown was submitted on Wednesday, Jan. 8, so that he may be transported to the Missouri Department of Corrections while being guarded by the Buchanan County Sheriff Bill Puett.
