Stewartville man shot, killed in Brooklyn Park on Saturday

Dec. 9—BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. — A Stewartville man was shot in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, on Saturday, Dec. 7.

According to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office, Ramone Rashawn Blue, 23, died around 2:45 p.m. after he was taken to the North Memorial Health Hospital in Robbinsdale, Minnesota. His cause of death was listed as multiple gunshot wounds.

Brooklyn Park police responded to a shooting at a business parking lot at 8069 Brooklyn Boulevard around 2 p.m. Saturday, a Brooklyn Park Police Department release said.

Officers found two individuals with gunshot wounds, the release said. Both were brought to the hospital, where Blue later died. The other was “seriously wounded,” according to the release.

The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival, the Brooklyn Park Police Department said.

The medical examiner ruled Blue’s manner of death as homicide.

The case remains under investigation.
