Louisville’s Transit Authority of River City announced its buses, including TARC3 services, will resume normal operations Monday, after two winter storms prompted service reductions and delays for a week.
“While TARC will be operating a normal weekday scheduled for all routes, delays are still possible due to lingering effects from the snow and ice storms of the last week,” the agency said in a statement. “TARC especially urges customers to use caution and allow for extra time to get to the bus stop as many sidewalks may still not be completely cleared.”
At least six routes had been suspended Thursday through Sunday due to the “challenging conditions created by the historic snow and ice received” during Winter Storm Blair, TARC stated previously. Wintry conditions from more than 13 inches of snow and some ice accumulation during the week caused several bus routes to have delays and service reductions.
TARC said its riders can receive up-to-date information on routes by subscribing to text or email notifications, following TARC on Facebook or X, or by calling the Customer Care Line (active Monday through Saturday) at 502-585-1234.
