Trio charged with multiple felonies after Nov. 29 incident

Three individuals in Fayette County face felony charges following an alleged kidnapping incident, according to authorities.

In a Saturday press release, Fayette County Sheriff Shannon Morris said that FCSD deputies responded on Nov. 29 to a possible kidnapping complaint. When the deputies made contact with the woman in question, she said that nothing had occurred. However, the next day, the woman arrived at sheriff’s department headquarters and asked to speak with deputies. She told them she was afraid to be forthcoming the day before and that she had been taken against her will after being threatened with weapons, according to Morris.

Subsequently, Mount Hope residents Hursey A. Milam, 63, Krisy J. Waddell, 42, and Justin R. Craigo, 30, were each charged with the felony offenses of kidnapping, armed robbery and conspiracy, the release noted. All three await further court proceedings.

The FCSD was aided by the Southern District of West Virginia U.S. Marshal’s C.U.F.F.E.D. Task Force in the apprehension of the trio.

Anyone with more information on the incident is urged to contact the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department at 304-574-3590 or call Crime Stoppers of West Virginia at 304-255-STOP.
