Martin Luther King Jr. Day is set to coincide with the inauguration of President Donald Trump on Jan. 20 this year.
The two federal holidays have only fallen on the same day once since Martin Luther King Jr. Day was made a national holiday by Ronald Reagan in 1983.
Trump is set to take office on Monday, Jan. 20, in Washington D.C. He and Vice President-elect J.D. Vance will take their respective oaths of office before celebrations take place.

Trump’s running mate, Sen. JD Vance of Ohio, will take his oath of office as vice president.
There also will be celebrations across Washington, D.C., to mark the start of the new administration.
