MOUNT HOLLY — Two Pemberton Township men have been found guilty of killing a Willingboro teenager who was the innocent victim of a gang feud.
Kavon Carter, 27, and Sylas Young, 22, were accused of shooting Yahsinn Robinson, 18, as the Willingboro High School senior returned home from his job just before 11:30 p.m. on April 22, 2021.
Carter and Young were engaged in a feud with some residents of Robinson’s Buckingham Park neighborhood at the time of the shooting, according to the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office.
Robinson, who was pronounced dead outside his family’s Barrington Lane home, was not involved in the feud, the prosecutor’s office said.
Two other Willingboro residents — a 24-year-old woman and a two-year-old boy — were shot a week later as a result of the same dispute, the prosecutor’s office said. They also were described as innocent victims.
A family member posted to Facebook that Robinson was “a gentle giant and kind to everyone who crossed his path.”
Kalimah Perry said her cousin was an “honor roll student, chess master (and) musician.”

Jurors deliberated for approximately three hours after a two-month trial.
They convicted Carter and Young of murder, conspiracy to commit murder, gang criminality and weapons offenses.
Carter also was found guilty of promoting organized street crime and another weapons offense.
Superior Court Judge Gerard Breland scheduled sentencing for Feb. 7. The men have been held since being arrested in December 2021.
