Two killed in crash between motorcycle, car in Victorville

A man and woman from Adelanto were killed in a collision between their motorcycle and a car in Victorville on Saturday afternoon, officials said.

The deadly crash took place about 3:30 p.m. at Air Expressway and Nevada Avenue, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

First-responders arrived to find a wreck involving a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and a Volkswagen Passat, the sheriff’s department said in a written statement.

A man and woman who had been riding on the motorcycle died from their injuries at the scene, officials said.

They were identified by coroner’s officials as Gerrell Nellum, 35, and Naybe Guillen, 45, both of Adelanto.

The driver of the Volkswagen was taken to a hospital for treatment. The extent of the driver’s injuries were not clear.

No further details were available regarding the circumstances of the collision, which were being investigated by the Victorville Major Accident Investigation Team.
