Montgomery deputies have arrested a second Montgomery Youth Detention Facility employee and charged him with seven counts of first-degree sodomy.
Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Jarnell Armistad, 35, and charged Armistad with sodomy after an alleged sexual assault of a child in his custody. Armistad is in the Montgomery jail with no bond, Assistant Chief Wesley Richerson said in an email.
Montgomery deputies arrested Kentavious Miller on Wednesday. Miller is a former Montgomery Youth Detention Facility employee, and he is charged with first-degree sexual abuse. He is in the Montgomery jail.
Officers are not releasing any other information at this time, but they have planned a news conference next week to share more information.
“As I mentioned on Thursday, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office will continue to thoroughly investigate and prosecute anyone who abuses their power to harm those that they are responsible for protecting. We are grateful for the professionalism and expertise of our investigators who have worked diligently on this case,” Richerson said in the email.
