U.S. Eagle Federal Credit Union honored as family-friendly workplace again

Dec. 23—A New Mexico credit union with locations in Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Bernalillo and Farmington has been honored for its workplace policies by a statewide program that promotes family-friendly approaches.

U.S. Eagle Federal Credit Union was awarded platinum-level distinction by Family Friendly New Mexico, the company announced in a Dec. 17 news release. The company has received the award every year since 2017.

“U.S. Eagle is thrilled to receive such a distinguished honor as we place high importance on having family-friendly policies and procedures in our workplace,” Maggie Tannen, chief human resources officer at U.S. Eagle Federal Credit Union, stated in the release. “First, it’s the right way to treat our fellow staff members, and more, it helps us to attract and retain the best employees.”

Giovanna Rossi, the founder and board chair of Family Friendly New Mexico, said the organization is positioned to be a national leader in offering New Mexicans workplaces that attract and keep the best workers.

“Implementing family-friendly policies can be a simple, concrete investment a company can make to ensure it can compete for highly qualified employees,” Rossi stated in the release. “Studies have shown that costs associated with creating family-friendly benefits are more than made up for in improved productivity, employee morale and employee retention. We are happy to recognize U.S. Eagle Federal Credit Union as a distinguished leader in implementing family-friendly policies.”
