A lot can happen in a year. Across the area, thousands of students went to their very first kindergarten class. Others stepped into middle schools for the first time or walked across a stage to collect their high school diploma. 2024 might not have always been easy, but every year has its highs, too.
With the year coming to a close, the Press-Gazette wants to celebrate your family’s school wins. Did you get into your dream college? Score a big scholarship? Did your child read their first book this year? Maybe someone in your family finally hit their goal English grade, or set a personal record in their sport.
Whatever it is, we’d love to hear about it. Send an email to education reporter Nadia Scharf at nscharf@gannett.com by Dec. 23 with a few sentences about what happened and why it matters to you, along with a photo.
Make sure to include your full name, city and a phone number in case we need to get in contact with you for a story that’ll publish at the end of the year.
