When will the temperatures rise above freezing in the Ashland County area? Not for a while.
The National Weather Service in Cleveland is predicting the temperature won’t climb above 30 degrees for at least the next seven days. The high temperature will be in the 20s through Sunday, with a high of only 20 degrees on Thursday.
The highs will be in the low 20s Tuesday-Friday. The low for the week is predicted for Thursday evening, 6 degrees.
“Light snow is falling across much of the region this morning, with generally light accumulations expected,” the weather agency wrote today on social media. “Meanwhile, temperatures for the next few days will continue to stay below freezing as the cold start to 2025 marches on.”
The normal mean temperature for the area for January is 35.5 degrees.
