It’s still a little too early to tell whether it will snow for sure Dec. 25, but AccuWeather’s long-range forecast has a weather outlook that does not include below freezing weather.

Louisville’s Christmas Day forecast, according to AccuWeather, is predicted to be a high of 42 degrees with a low of 36 degrees. There is a 30% chance of rain that Wednesday.

“Cooler with sun followed by increasing clouds; chance for a couple of showers in the afternoon,” AccuWeather states.

Has is snowed in Louisville on Christmas Day?

White Christmases are not usual in Louisville, although there have been some recorded in history, according to data released by the National Weather Service which has numbers up until 2021. The “snowiest” Christmas Day for Louisville has been 4.5 inches in 1890, according to the data.

What’s the coldest Christmas Day in Louisville?

According to the NWS data, the coldest temperature in Louisville’s Christmas Day history is -7 degrees in 1983 and the coldest daily average temperature was also in that year with 1 degree.
