Dec. 10—MINNESOTA CITY, Minn. — The Winona County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an abduction in Minnesota City, after law enforcement says two men forced a 13-year-old into their car and released her eight hours later.

The Winona County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a 13-year-old girl walking along Highway 61 near the intersection of County Road 9 around 1:50 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7.

According to a release from the sheriff’s office, the girl told deputies she was taken from an address in Minnesota City around 5:30 a.m. that day.

While she was outside of the Minnesota City residence, the release said, the girl was approached by a white man. She said the man was 25 to 40 years old, 5-foot-10 or taller, had short brown hair and patchy facial hair. He was wearing a T-shirt and baggy shorts.

The girl was then reportedly forced into a silver car by the man, the release said.

The girl told deputies that another man was inside the vehicle. She described him as a Black man, aged 25 to 40 and wearing a black sweater and baggy jeans with cargo pockets.

The girl reported that she was driven around in the car for some time until she was pushed out of the car. When she was pushed out of the car, she told law enforcement it was traveling around 5 mph.

The girl sustained a cut on her head after being pushed out of the car and hitting her head on the ground.
