Winter Ag and Construction Expo opens Jan. 16 in Jamestown

Jan. 15—JAMESTOWN — The 2025 Winter Ag and Construction Expo returns to the Jamestown Civic Center on Thursday and Friday, Jan. 16-17, with programs on a number of ag-related topics.

“We think we have a great slate of free seminars this year, new topics and new speakers to touch on marketing and crop input trends, weed management, PRF (Pasture, Rangeland and Forage) insurance for cattle producers and MPCI (multi-peril crop insurance) for grain producers,” said Lynn Lambrecht, general manager of i3G Media, which produces the expo. “And the panel discussion on the Farm Bill will be a hot topic as the extension just got signed and I’m sure producers will have questions on how that affects them.”

Lambrecht said there will be “new faces and machinery on the vendor floor” and many door prizes to register for including Minnesota Twins tickets.

There are 57 vendors including some with larger equipment, she said. Vendors include Titan Machinery, Central Sales, M & M Ag Sales and James Kota. Reister Meats and Sweet Dreams Mini-Donuts are also returning.

“And of course, the Unison Bank Free Farmers Appreciation lunch both days is always a big plus,” Lambrecht said.

Exhibits are open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days, and the Unison Bank Farmers Appreciation Lunch is at noon both days. Admission to the event is free.

Ag in the Classroom is also planned on Friday, Lambrecht said. Ashley Kjellberg, NDSU Extension Service — Stutsman County, has invited fourth grade classes from area schools to come to the show throughout the day and learn about agriculture and how it affects people’s daily lives with topics such as how do they get honey from bees and where does chocolate milk come from?
